Check out the lyrics to this song. Very disturbing and ironic considering the first lyric is: Shoot Me. John sang it too. I cried for three days when I heard on the radio in the deli I worked at and I thought I was going to go down. Slept with my Beatles T-Shirts for years. I, even now, have a Beatles T-Shirt and wear it to bed often!!! They were my favorite band. I'm 65 yrs old now.

IMO One of the greatest rock songs. Ever since it came out in 1967 this song has always stood out as a masterpiece. Just heavenly! You right his voice hardly aged, just listen to the 1967 original for proof.

I used to go watch him in the seedier bars around Dallas before he was even old enough to be in them!! Watch a live performance of Texas Flood. Someone once made the comment that he played with such h fineness. He said he didn't have any and he played like he was breaking out of jail!! It's true. He gets on it.
